Kevin Durant has denied a rumor from former NBA star DeMarcus Cousins, who said Friday that the Phoenix Suns' lack of on-court success during the 2024-25 season was partially due to turmoil behind the scenes.

Durant reportedly has a wishlist (the Spurs, Rockets and Heat reportedly are on it), and with his expiring contract, he has a bit of leverage to get the deal he wants. But he is 37, not 27, and the threat of him passing on a lucrative two-year extension doesn't hold quite the same weight it once would.

A recent report suggests that the Miami Heat will need to add one of their young stars to pull off a trade with the Phoenix Suns for Kevin Durant.
