George Russell has hit out at Red Bull for their decision to protest against his Canadian Grand Prix victory, calling it a "waste of everybody's time". The Mercedes driver revealed that the hearing, which saw Red Bull 's complaints about his "unsportsmanlike behaviour" rejected, resulted in Mercedes staff missing their flights home.

George Russell has been gaining attention in the paddock, and Mercedes has yet to extend his F1 contract beyond 2025.

Aston have charged legendary designer Adrian Newey with the responsibility of producing a competitive car with the introduction of new engine and chassis rules. And it is believed that Russell is a shock contender to drive it.
