An aviation official said the Boeing 787 carrying over 200 passengers crashed in India’s northwestern city of Ahmedabad five minutes after taking off on Thursday.

More than 200 people were onboard the Air India plane when it crashed a few minutes after takeoff in India's western city of Ahmedabad.
