Ruben Amorim has admitted that the Manchester United staff who are set to lose their jobs in the latest round of cut-backs are paying the price for the team's lack of success on the pitch.

Ruben Amorim admits everyone at Manchester United is being affected by INEOS’ continued cost-cutting measures. United announced on Monday a new “transformation plan” including a further 150 to 200 redundancies on top of previously announced job cuts designed to stem a steady stream of losses off the pitch.

Ruben Amorim said Manchester United ’s players must take the blame for Sir Jim Ratcliffe ’s decision to axe a further 200 jobs because their failings on the pitch have created the crisis at Old Trafford.
