When Martin Scorsese was a child growing up in New York's Little Italy, he would gaze up at the figures he saw around St. Patrick's Old Cathedral. “Who are these people? What is a saint?” Scorsese recalls.

“Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints,” premiering Sunday on the Fox Nation streaming service, is hosted and narrated by the filmmaker and dramatizes the lives of eight Catholic saints.

The docuseries will premiere on Fox Nation with the first episode being about Joan of Arc, who is the patron saint of soldiers. Scorsese, a Catholic and Academy-Award winning filmmaker, narrates it. Matti Leshem is the series’ creator.
