The Central Pacific Hurricane Basin saw a surprising uptick in storms in late July from both major Hurricane Iona and Tropical Storm Keli.

Hurricane Iona and Tropical Storm Keli are moving west well south of the state. There is also third area the National Hurricane Center (NHC) is tracking for tropical cyclone development east of Keli.

While the Atlantic is quiet... the Pacific is staying very active with 2 named storms and 5 total disturbances.
