Members of the United Auto Workers in Indianapolis have reached a tentative labor agreement with Rolls-Royce North America, the union announced Wednesday night. The agreement helped avert a strike by the union’s 800 local members, whose current contract was set to expire at midnight.

The union's president said they won back true profit sharing, got more vacation days for members as well as better retirement benefits.

United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain will announce the outcome of negotiations with Rolls-Royce at an Indianapolis facility on Facebook Live at 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The tentative contract includes pay increases, a cost-of-living adjustment for all employees and better retirement benefits.

The United Auto Workers union's president Shawn Fain said on Wednesday its members representing Rolls Royce's Indianapolis Local 933 unit reached a tentative agreement with the company.
