A polar vortex is slated to sweep most of the continental US bringing winter storm warnings and a hazardous freeze to millions.
Storm Warning was issued for York and Adams County for Sunday by the National Weather Service in State College, with a snowstorm expected.

In Carbon and Monroe counties, 6 to 10 inches of snow is possible, the National Weather Service said Friday afternoon when issuing the watch. For Pike and Wayne counties, 5 to 9 inches is possible, the NWS said.
Motorists should be prepared for slippery roads and rapid changes in visibility and road conditions due to lake effect snow, the weather service said.
