Arkansas State Police identified Tuesday the suspect arrested over the weekend on charges of murder, abuse of a corpse and kidnapping.

On Wednesday, the Arkansas State Police identified the victim as Kevin Smalling, 53, from Mount Ida. Smalling’s remains were found near Walden’s property in Mount Ida.

When state agents arrived at the Mount Ida location, they found evidence of foul play and Billy Walden, 53, and taken into custody, according to an Arkansas State Police news release.
