The New York Giants have added significant incentives to Dexter Lawrence's contract one day after he downplayed his current deal.

The No. 17 pick in the 2019 NFL draft, Lawrence has developed into one of the faces of the Giants' defense. He's produced 21 sacks over the last three years after totaling nine in his first three seasons in the league. He earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2022 and 2023.

The New York Giants need a strong season about as badly as any team in the NFL, as this franchise has been floundering for nearly an entire decade while searching for answers every step of the way. There is hope that 2025 can be substantially better than the disastrous 3-14 season that Giants fans had to endure last year,
