MLB's Cincinnati Reds on Sunday hosted a 14-hour visitation for late Reds legend Pete Rose, baseball's all-time hits leader, who died Sept. 30 at age 83.
The Reds plan to honor Rose on “Pete Rose Day” when they play the Chicago White Sox on May 14 with first pitch planned for 7:14 p.m., also in homage to his No. 14.
The Reds announced on Monday that players will wear a No. 14 patch on their jersey sleeves to honor Pete Rose, baseball’s all-time hits leader and a native of Cincinnati.
