The engine of a Delta Air Lines flight appeared to burst into flames shortly after the plane took off from California earlier this week. On Friday, July 18, Delta flight 446 departed the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and then "safely landed" back on the runway around 2:10 p.

A Delta flight made an emergency landing at LAX due to its left engine catching fire after takeoff; all 226 passengers and crew safely evacuated and were rebooked.

Video captured the left engine of the Boeing 767-400 in flames. No one was injured during the incident, a Delta spokesperson said.
