New Pixar movie Elio has opened to the studio's worst ever box office numbers. After hitting the big screen this past Friday (June 20), the film made $21 million at the US box office and a total of $35 million globally across its opening weekend. Against a budget of $150 million, it's not looking good for Elio.

Universal's "How to Train Your Dragon" remake remained No. 1 in North America despite two newcomers, Pixar's "Elio" and Sony's "28 Years Later."
