These together will be brining heat indices up to around 110°F. Due to this, the National Weather Service has issued Extreme Heat Warnings for both Sunday and Monday for portions of Siouxland.
As a Heat Advisory is in place Saturday, more are certain as Sunday introduces triple digit highs. Stay indoors!
An extreme heat watch has been issued for the Twin Cities on Sunday, with severe storms also a possibility in Minnesota later in the day. The heat wa goes into effect from 12 p.m. Sunday through Sunday evening and covers the area in and around the Twin Cities metro, as well as southern and southwestern Minnesota.
A brutal heat index nearing 112 degrees didn’t stop country music fans from packing the Chesterfield Amphitheater.
Saturday and Sunday will both have high temperatures in the low to mid 90s, feeling like 105-110°. For that reason, majority of the area is under a Heat Advisory until 8 PM Sunday. Dare county/OBX is under an Extreme Heat Warning until 8 PM Saturday as heat indices could reach up to 115°.
