Denis Villeneuve is going from “Dune” to Bond. Amazon MGM Studios announced Wednesday that Villeneuve will direct the next James Bond movie.

Amazon MGM Studios announced earlier this year that it had gained creative control over the Bond franchise after a family had held those duties for more than 60 years.

Tom Holland leads Amazon’s shortlist for the next James Bond, as Denis Villeneuve prepares to direct Bond 26 for a 2028 release.
