A boat accident on Lake Tahoe on June 21 took the lives of eight people and injured two. The boat's co-owner, Josh Pickles, was among those who died.

The tragic boating accident at Lake Tahoe on Saturday that killed eight people, including a Bay Area tech executive, began with a mother’s birthday celebration that turned deadly when an unusual and violent summer storm generated 8-foot waves and 35 mph gusts of wind, capsizing a boat full of family and friends.

Josh Pickles is one of the victims who tragically lost his life in a recent boating accident on Lake Tahoe. In all, eight lives were lost in the incident at California on Saturday afternoon.
