Juneau Police say security footage captured Buenafe at the top of the tramway around 7:30 a.m. that day, but there’s been no sign of her since.

The body of 62-year-old Marites Buenafe, a missing cruise passenger, has been found after she vanished while on a solo hike in Alaska, authorities have said.

Disappearance timeline State troopers said Buenafe texted her family at around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, saying she was headed to Mount Roberts Tramway and planned to hike Gold Ridge to Gastineau Peak.
