Flag football is coming to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, and NFL players will be allowed to participate. No more than two players per NFL team can be picked for Team USA, and designated international players will also be eligible to represent their respective countries.

In August 2024, Darrell “Housh” Doucette fired six touchdown passes to four different receivers to lead the US to a 53-21 victory over Austria to claim an unprecedented fifth consecutive flag football world championship. “This is our sport – we feel like we are the pros,” Doucette said at the time.
