The Cincinnati Bengals got what seems like one of the biggest steals in the 2025 NFL Draft, selecting Tahj Brooks in the 6th round with the 193rd overall pick.

Brooks finished his time at Tech with 4,557 rushing yards across 56 games, breaking Byron Hanspard’s program record late in his final season with the Red Raiders. Brooks scored 47 total touchdowns which ranks third in program history and is one of seven players with more than 5,000 career all purpose yards for Tech (5,126).

Ex-Texas Tech football star Tahj Brooks almost played for Justin Hill at Tulsa. Now Brooks will play for Hill with the Bengals, who drafted him.
