The U.S. and United Kingdom have signed a trade deal, the first such agreement since President Donald Trump announced sweeping tariffs on trading partners earlier this year. The deal is set to lower tariffs on steel and automobiles and make it easier for the U.

President Donald Trump said the trade agreement with the UK would eliminate many tariffs that "unfairly discriminated against American products."

U.K. trade deal should be one of the easiest — and a POLITICO-Public First poll found that American and British adults have serious doubts about Trump’s commitment to it.
