Looked at this thread and checked the Alexa app on my iPad, and sure enough an alarm for 10am had been set for the echo dot. Turned it to off and the sound stopped.

Sounds like someone is going to have to set an Alexa alarm as soon as they wake up and let it ring for however long. Stay strong, don’t give in and yell at Alexa to turn it off.
