I stopped updating mine years ago when it just couldn’t come close to phone apps for things like traffic, but especially for actual navigation. Even when I updated it regularly it often didn’t know about closed roads and new roads.

The mazda system does not wear as fast as the subie awd system. It may feel the mazda has less power but in slick conditions or undesirable conditions it handles well on corners, snow, and rain. I drove 90k miles in 2.5 years in all conditions and it handled like an ace.

Mazda has overthrown honda lately with reliability especially with Toyota and Mazda working together their reliability is even better I chose Mazda cause Toyotas interiors are just too cheap but the civic and Corolla hold their values better than the 3 if you want to retain the most value you go with corolla but the 3 is better than both of them

I have a 2015 mazda 3 I was able to update to the latest firmware without the touchscreen functionality. Then realized there is a recall for ghost screen so I setup an appointment to get the screen replaced. The dealership mentioned there is a B108E04 display system internal failure code and the whole unit needs to be replaced.
