Rising juniors and seniors in high school can apply to take classes at UW–Madison during Summer Term, where they’ll earn college credit for face-to-face and online courses.

There are plenty of opportunities for full or part-time employment on campus during Summer Term. Many campus employers provide schedule flexibility that allows students to earn money and make progress on their academics in the summer.

In just a few short weeks, you can broaden your knowledge and open up more time in fall and spring to focus on your major. Many courses are offered online — or stay on campus to enjoy Madison in our favorite season.

You can apply to take UW–Madison classes as a University Special Student the Summer Term before your junior or senior year of high school. To apply, your GPA must be at least 3.0 overall and in the most recent semester of high school, and your guidance counselor must recommend you for Summer Term.
