A special floral installation in BBG’s conservatory. 💐 Created by BBG gardener Kate Murphy, these organic floating sculptures bring what bloomed last year indoors while the garden sleeps for the winter. “This past growing season, I worked with many of my fellow gardeners to collect flowers, seedheads and leaves from all over the Garden,” said Murphy. “I then dried and preserved the plant material. Bloom alert! 🔔 Magnolias continue to bloom at BBG. As most of BBG’s star magnolia blooms fade, saucer magnolias on Magnolia Plaza are opening up. Visit one of Brooklyn’s greenest blocks in the heart of Flatbush. 🏡 On a rainy day in the middle of spring, East 25th Street between Clarendon Road and Avenue D is already bursting with life. The block has been crowned victorious in BBG’s Greenest Block in Brooklyn contest five times; many of the block's gardeners now also mentor budding gardeners elsewhere in the borough.
