Our older speech students struggle with inferencing. It is required in their classrooms and it can make learning a real challenge for them. We can help them with this skill in speech therapy! This is because this skill requires working memory, vocabulary, syntax, listening comprehension, perspective taking, and more! But where do we start? We can teach them how to answer literal vs inferential questions at the picture level, basic guessing game level, or even the sentence and paragraph level. I
