It’s Lake Taupō, formed about 25,500 years ago in the massive Ōruanui eruption. 😱🌋🌋😱 The huge eruption spat out so much magma that the ground collapsed kilometres downward and left a caldera – a gigantic collapsed block of land – in its wake. And its’s also a supervolcano 🌋 Lake Taupō is about the same size as Singapore and is the largest lake in New Zealand. Its eruption was one of the most powerful in history.
