At 102 years old, Mary Daniels, Ph.D. ’78, has witnessed firsthand how the College of Human Ecology at Cornell has evolved in its multidisciplinary approach. Daniels first came to Cornell in 1946 to pursue graduate study in psychology. She quickly found an academic mentor in Urie Bronfenbrenner, a trailblazer in the field of human development, who taught at Cornell for over 50 years.
