Te Taikura a Rereahu Maniapoto arrived at Te Papa to perform for the first time ever at Taikura. Taikura Kapa Haka brings together over 700 kaumātua from regional and marae-based rōpū throughout the motu to Te Whanganui-a-Tara during Matariki. The weekend was a celebration of traditional performing arts and rich mātauranga which our koroua and kuia share during their 15-minute kapa haka performances.
