Here we have Rosa virginiana otherwise known as the Virginia Rose. 🌺 Sometimes referred to as wild rose or prairie rose, this deciduous bush with its lovely pink flowers originates from the southeastern regions of the United States. The roots of this plant were used medicinally by Native Americans, from washing cuts, to treating sore eyes and as a cure for worms in children.
