Here’s a fully loaded m1945 pack system. From what I know, these were never heavily used. The m44 saw some use at the very end of ww2 and this one saw limited use during the Korean War. Does anyone know if these were ever used in Vietnam? The upper pack alone seems like a good enough design to stick around but I don’t recall seeing any 1960s photos of it in use. | past.wars.collecting

Again, not a very accurate setup, but it does look good. These are 1945 m1 carbine/garand pouches, two first aid pouches, a canteen, and an m1911. It has an m45 pack with a 1945 bayonet and entrenching shovel attached. Wrapped around the pack is an m51 field jacket, the m1 helmet has an OD7 cover made in 1953. I still need the m44/45 suspenders to actually wear this pack system. | past.wars.collecting
